Our senior Basketball teams competed at the Baywide Secondary Schools competition. Both teams were in the A Grade division and played well throughout the competition. The girls played Trident, Aquinas and Reporoa. The girls managed to take the games to Trident and Reporoa by a higher margin. Even through both games were slow starting the girls managed to increase their intensity as they went on and played some very good Basketball. The girls closest game was against Aquinas in which the only won by a few points, they were well matched and the girls showed real skill to keep on top in a close game. The girls finished of the day winning the A grade champs. The boys played against Aquinas, Reporoa and Tauranga Boys Juniors. The boys had a slow start to the day, winning their first game only by a few goals, they managed to find a little bit of fire throughout the day and finished 2nd.

Senior Badminton:
The senior Badminton championships were held on Friday last week. We had a girls team competing in Division one and a Boys team in division three. Both teams played well throughout the day. The girls had some extremely close games against Bethlehem College, John Paul College and Rotorua Lakes. It was awesome to see the outstanding competition in this Sport at a Secondary School level. The boys had a tough day with three of their 5 games going to a count back in points as the game was tied at 3-3. They all enjoyed their day and represented the school extremely well.

An absolutely huge congratulations to Katelyn Smith and Samantha Keene who have been over in England competing at the Age Group World Underwater Hockey championships. They have had an outstanding tournament and it has been excited keeping up with how they have been going over there. After a very close and exciting final the girls are coming home u19 World Underwater Hockey Champions.
