Future Pathways Evening Tuesday 15 August 2017
The Senior Subject Selection Information Evening (now called FUTURE PATHWAYS) is held in the Performing Arts Centre in August between 3:45pm-6pm. This is an opportunity to discuss your son's/daughter's selection of subjects for the following year.  All subject HODs, University & Polytechnic representatives are present, along with all the Careers Staff and Year Level Deans for Years 10, 11 and 12.  No appointments necessary - just come along.

Wednesday 27 September 2017
Year 11 and Year 12 Deans & Careers staff available in Library 4pm-6:30pm to discuss with parents/students any concerns raised by the exam results that relate to subject selection.

Subject Planning Book for Year 11 - Year 13

The "Subject Planning for Years 11, 12, and 13" (here in referred to as "Subject Planning Book" or "Subject Choice Book" or "Subject Selection Book") is intended as a resource to aid students in selecting their courses at Otumoetai College.

It details - Important dates for the process of Subject Selection - People resources e.g. Deans, HODs, Subject specialists - Qualification matrices - University requirements - Careers resources - Subject pathways - Websites - etc., etc.
In terms of your future, put it on your list of "Must Read".

Year 11 Subject Selection
ALL students who will be Year 11 in 2017 will complete their Subject Selection online. Any issues, please make contact with the Year 11 Deans.
 
Year 12 Subject Selection Form
This form should be completed for students intending to attend Otumoetai College as a Year 12 student.
To complete the form choose your subjects using the information from the Subject Planning Book, and ensure it is signed by a parent/caregiver.
Further instructions are contained on the form.
When completed the form should be returned to the Student's Form Teacher or Year 12 Dean via the Main Office.
Year 12 students choose 5 subjects and can complete an application form to study a 6th subject. Selection of a sixth subject depends on level of performance.
 
Year 13 Subject Selection Form
This form should be completed for students intending to attend Otumoetai College as a Year 13 student.
To complete the form choose your subjects using the information from the Subject Planning Book, and ensure it is signed by a parent/caregiver.
Further instructions are contained on the form.
When completed the form should be returned to the Student's Form Teacher or Year 13 Dean via the Main Office.
Year 13 students choose 5 subjects.
