Ian Taylor's Visit to Otumoetai College
On Tuesday 20th November, the year 9 and 10 students at Otumoetai College were fortunate enough to listen to a presentation from successful New Zealand entrepreneur, Ian Taylor.
Ian spoke of his journey of a boy who grew up in a house with no power, to now the owner of a technology company successfully competing on a global stage. The students were engaged with the videos of animation work that his team have created for huge sporting events such the America’s Cup, PGA golf and Formula One motor racing.
Ian had several powerful messages for our students; finding something you are passionate about, taking your opportunities when they arise and to surround yourself with good people who perhaps have different skills that complement your own.
Overall it was a fantastic presentation, in which students and staff thoroughly enjoyed.
