Y9 Haka & Waiata

The Year 9 cohort of 2011 undertook a week of learning a Haka and Waiata during Form Period.

This culminated in a successful performance on Friday. Our Year 9’s accepted the challenge of learning both the Haka and two Waiatas. The Year 9’s would like to publically acknowledge and thank: Whaea Hiriwa Curnow, Whaea Margaret Waka and Matua Tapene Mika for overseeing the tutoring.

Special mention and thanks to our Year 10 student leaders who ably tutored our Year 9’s. They were: Patrick Lowery, Mikaere Fidow, Bayley Moore, Nikita McGruer and Diamond Piwari.

The Year 9’s are now looking forward to the challenge of competing against the Year 13’s.
